How far in advance can I reserve my wedding/event date?
Our clients can reserve their event date up to 24 months in advance.

What type of events do you plan?
We specialize in intimate weddings and events that are sophisticated in nature. We plan various social event types from baby showers, and business meetings to Holiday parties with weddings being our most popular service.

Why should I hire an event planner?
Event planning can be stressful and time-consuming. We help manage the logistics of your event. Most people know what they want to achieve but need guidance getting to the finish line. Hiring a team of professionals will allow you to enjoy your event while we handle all of the behind-the-scenes tasks.

What types of weddings do you plan?
We plan a variety of wedding types and styles ranging from traditional, formal, non-denominational, same-sex, interfaith, informal, and elopements.

What wedding services do you NOT offer?
We currently do not offer services for the following; civil ceremonies, destination weddings, cruise weddings, festival weddings, proxy or virtual weddings.

How much time do you need to plan an event?
Parties are typically booked 3 - 6 months in advance and weddings 8 - 18 months. We like to have a minimum of 6 weeks notice but it's not required. Events booked with less than 30 days notice are subject to a 25% "late booking fee" and may incur additional fees from suppliers. Funerals and repast services are exempt from the "late booking fee".

What is your minimum budget requirement?
Because event planning is our livelihood we have a minimum budget requirement of $795 for non-wedding events and smaller projects. Weddings start at $1095 for do ask that you have an ideal budget. Before we create your customized proposal.

What is included in your wedding planning services?
We believe in giving our clients the best planning experience possible so every client will have access to our client planning portal. We use Aisle Planner to manage all events. Every service will include 1 site tour before the wedding day, set-up and breakdown assistance, a wedding day timeline, vendor management, and a minimum of 2 team members on the wedding day and ceremony rehearsal if desired.

Do you work multiple events on the same day?
No! We currently book 1 event per day. On the rare occasion, we were to book multiple events on the same day each event would have a separate team so you don't have to worry about any overlap.

What is the difference between Day of Coordinator and Partial Planning?
Wedding management (Day of Coordinator) is when a planner is hired to execute pre-made plans created by the client. Most of our time will be spent gathering details about your wedding and communicating with the vendors you've hired. We use the provided information to create the wedding day timeline and the ceremony rehearsal before working on the big day! Partial planning allows your planner to be more hands-on with the planning process leading up to the event and is perfect for clients who may need a little guidance or still haven't finalized all of the details.

What is the difference between wedding planning and styling?
Wedding/event planning focuses on the administration, logistics, and management of the wedding/event. Event design refers to how the wedding/event looks and feels; The concept or theme.

What type of people will benefit the most from working with you?
Most of our clients are busy professionals who are looking for expert guidance and advice. Clients who are seeking a more personable interaction and desire a quality experience will feel the most comfortable with us. Clients who have very specific needs like the fact that we have the staffing, knowledge, and software to support complex events. Clients who lack creativity or planning knowledge also like our services for the same reasons.

What is the booking fee to reserve my wedding/event?
We require a 30% non refundable retainer to reserve your wedding/event date.

How do you charge for services?
Our primary method for pricing is a flat rate fee. This makes it easier for our clients to manage their budgets. Events with larger budgets are charged as a percentage of the overall budget. Hourly fees are reserved for add-on services.

Are deposits refundable?
No. The retainer we collect at the start of the contract is non refundable. We price our client payments to align with when the services are being provided. There is very little chance that our clients would have overpaid to receive a refund.

What is your postponement and cancellation policy?
If the event is canceled, no portion of the fees paid to Virgo Event Planning will be returned. If the event is postponed, services contracted can be applied to a new date if available. Your new event date must be scheduled within 24 months.
All services will cease at the time of notification of postponement if no determined new date is provided. The payment schedule will be determined and readjusted once we receive the new event date along with a $250 postponement fee to reserve the new date.
